KENSON

KENSON is a Hong Kong-based menswear label launched in 2017. KENSON redefines menswear in an alternative way by breaking down the walls between traditional menswear and individuality. The brand develops a unique aesthetic to express romanticism and pathetic purity.

We developed a series of brand visuals for the seasonal capsule collection, incorporating elements from its inspiration, acknowledged theme, aesthetic, clothing uniqueness, and colour palette. This sentiment-oriented approach demonstrated garments’ features while delivering a storytelling strategy through various forms of visual communication.

"WASABI BOY", KENSON
Inspired by the novella and movie "Death in Venice" - portraying an infatuation by the protagonist that goes against his self-consciousness, morality, and societal norms. Yearning for love and beauty, he refrained from acting on his feelings and restricted his admiration to distance.
Translating infatuation, enthusiasm, and pain as elements of Wasabi - its stinger of his taste buds, spice and sweetness, cruel but to remain pure. Did he shed a tear because of the condiment flavour?
